Breakfast

Breakfast is included in our basic accommodation package. We serve a simple, authentic Japanese breakfast that comes with local white rice, miso soup, a small assortment of seasoned vegetables, fish cake and rolled egg. Local and seasonal ingredients are used as much as possible.

Japanese home cooking workshop (currently preparing)

We offer basic Japanese home cooking workshop for our staying guests. The course will introduce how to cook rice using a clay pot, making onigiri (rice balls) with ingredients of your preference, and preparing miso soup. Workshops are half day until noon. Charge is ¥8,000 per person.

Dinner catering by ichiri

We also offer dinner catering for guests who wish to eat at the guesthouse in the evening. Catering will be provided by a local bento cook. Menu will include rice and an assortment of seasonal vegetables, along with fish or meat of the day. Please notify us at when booking or at least 3 days in advance should you wish to request for dinner. Charge is ¥3,500 per person.

Irori (floor hearth) dinner (currently unavailable)

The irori is a traditional floor hearth that was once common in every Japanese household. For this dinner we prepare a local dish called "Hobayaki", where various ingredients such as meat and vegetables are cooked on magnolia leaf and flavored with miso. The fire and ingredients (an assortment of vegetables and Hida beef, and also white rice) will be prepared for guests to grill on their own. Charge for this dinner is ¥6,000 per person.
